I was out working with the rabbits tonight - weighing and tatooing the oldest litters so I can rearrange them and still know which grey/white/black rabbit is which.
I knew that I was at City Code limits for my adult rabbits; 24.  I have 18 does; 6 American Chinchillas, 8 Silver Foxes (3 blues, 5 blacks), and 4 mixes.  I have 6 bucks (2 or 3 too many) 3 American Chinchilla & 3 Blue Silver fox.

What I hadn't really specifically added up was how many babies I have:

Silver Foxes

18 weeks - 2 bucks, 1 doe
15 weeks - 4 bucks, 2 does
8 weeks - 9 unsexed
4weeks - 8 unsexed

American Chinchillas

13 weeks - 2 Bucks, 1 doe
10 weeks - 1 doe
6 weeks - 6 unsexed

Mixes

12 weeks - 1 buck, 4 does
                 (look like Am Chins)
11 weeks - 3 bucks, 1 doe (white mostly)
10 weeks - 1 buck, 4 does (all white)
Anybody want to do the math??

50.
Kits. Juniors. Babies. Not in the nest box, but not at new homes or in the freezer.
Oh yeah - don't forget those 24 adults.

74!
2 does are due this weekend & 3 more were just bred last week.

Anybody want a bunny?

Then to really make my head spin we also weighed them. . . ALL of them.
352. Pounds. Of rabbit.  WOW!

Anybody want rabbit?

A bit eclectic, amazed by beauty found in unexpected places.  I don't do politics or sports or cook much; but I love to grow food, spend time with family and friends, and learn new things.  I am NOT a writer, my grammar and spelling are awful.  Anything I write I write solely because it was something momentous or important or educational (at least to me).
