Community gardens on hold.

I am working Full time for Pigmans Organic Produce Patch this year so not doing much on my own gardens at this point.   I have been re-working the yard and making improvements and changes on the animal side.  Hoping to still plant for the fall/winter garden.

Rabbitry

Heritage Rabbits

I raise American Chinchilla and Silver Fox rabbits.  Both are heritage breeds listed on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC) and on The Slow Food Ark of Taste. 

We raise these rabbits for meat and fur as well as for pets and show animals.  We are working with other breeders in Washington and Oregon to bring these great breeds  back to prominence.  

I currently have 4 bucks and 14 does. I breed 3-4 does per month so that each doe has no more than 4 litters per year. 

Litter size varies therefor so does availability.  We also raise New Zealand rabbits strictly for meat or pets, but primarily for variation in color for furs.
